Here’s a note that may quash some of the speculation about Stephen Curry’s NBA affiliation: Golden State Warriors coach Don Nelson told the Associated Press Friday he has no intention of trading Mr. Curry.

“He can unpack his bags and relax. He can buy a house. We drafted him because we think he’s a terrific player that fits right into our program. He ain’t going anyplace,” Mr. Nelson said.

Mr. Curry, who led the nation in scoring his junior year at Davidson College last year, was drafted No. 7 in Thursday night’s NBA lottery. Not long afterward, some were speculating that Mr. Curry might be traded, possibly to the Phoenix Suns.
