Workers on Thursday installed a red Wildcat paw on the pavement at Concord Road and Baker Drive, which is the entrance to Davidson College’s Baker Sports Complex. The work is part of a series of improvements the college is making at the intersection, including new pedestrian crosswalks and signs.

The new “thermoplastic” Wildcat’s paw arrives just in time for Saturday’s sold out EPSNU BracketBuster’s basketball game at Belk Arena. The noon game, to be televised on ESPN, pits Davidson against Butler. For details see Laurie Dennis’s Davidson Weekend Calendar.

The new street sign looks great. What a great addition to add to the excitement of the wildcats!
