Organizers of a Women’s Leadership Conference at Davidson College next week are hoping to bring together 100 women – 50 students and 50 from the community – to help “create a new culture of female leadership in Davidson.”
The conference will be Friday, Feb. 20, and Saturday, Feb. 21, at Davidson College, in the Chambers Building Lilly Family Gallery. Friday’s session runs 6:30 to 10:30 p.m., while Saturday’s is 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The conference, part of the college’s Chidsey Leadership Development program, is designed to bring together students and women from the community in an “interactive, inter-generational exploration of 21st century leadership,” organizers say. It will include discussions, networking, small group sessions and insights from two keynote speeches.
Davidson resident Lynn Hennighausen will speak Saturday on work-life balance.
Participation is limited to 50 students and 50 women from the Davidson Community and registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. The community leader registration fee is $25. Register on the college website. For more information, send an email to wlc@davidson.edu.
