Charlotte Mecklenburg Utilities workers are repairing a water main break on Cathey Street, off South Street, officials at the utility said Monday evening. The break was first reported after 4 p.m. The department estimated work could take up to 4 hours from that time. Some users may see interruptions in their service during the repairs.
