Davidson’s men’s basketball team beat Citadel 84 to 69 on Saturday night in Charleston, S.C., to raise its record to 4-0 in the Southern Conference and 11-3 overall. Guard Stephen Curry scored 32 points and had 6 rebounds, 5 steals and 5 assists. Will Archambault had 11 points and Andrew Lovedale added 10.
Meanwhile, the Wildcat women remained unbeaten in the Southern Conference by beating Georgia Southern 65-54 at Belk Arena on Saturday. The Cats are now 7-0 in the conference and 8-8 overall. Julia Paquette scored 20 points and Ashley Lax added 17 points, all in the second half, to lead Davidson.
UP NEXT
Davidson’s men are in the midst of a string of road games. They travel to Boone Monday, Jan. 12, to meet Appalachian State. Game time is 7:30 p.m. The game will be broadcast on radio, at 95.7 FM and 1350 and 1660 AM.
The women will play at home Monday night against College of Charleston. Game time is 7 p.m. at Belk Arena.
