James E. Pierotti, 23, of Cathey Street, died Jan. 3, 2009, at his home. He was born on July 14, 1985 , the loving son of Lu and David Pierotti.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 17 at Raymer Funeral Home in Huntersville, with Rev. Kyle Wallace officiating. Visitation will follow.
Jim will be remembered for many things. He was a good friend to many who knew that if they ever needed help, he would be there for them. Jim loved gadgets, gemstones, fireworks, and he was known for his arcane pieces of knowledge. He had a wicked sense of humor. He will be greatly missed by his mother and nana.
Those left to cherish his memory are his mother Lu; his nana, Geneva Beckham Schmidt; Uncle Mike and Aunt Teresa Pierotti, of Raleigh; cousin Richard Baughman of Roswell, Ga.; and many friends.
The family wishes to thank Dr. C. Scott McLanahan, and nurses Julie and Lisa for their many years of care. They would also like to thank Dr. Kevin Kahn of UNC-Chapel Hill for the relief of pain he provided Jim for the last two years.
