Poet Janice Fuller visits Writers Club on Jan. 8

Poet Janice Moore Fuller, who is writer-in-residence and professor of English at Catawba College in Salisbury, will be the guest speaker at a meeting of Charlotte Writers Club North on Jan. 8. The meeting begins at 7 p.m. at So Alive Art Gallery, 108 S. Main St.
Ms. Fuller has published three volumes of poems – “Archeology Is a Destructive Science” (Scots Plaid Press), “Sex Education” (Iris Press), and “Séance” (Iris Press), the winner of the 2008 Oscar Arnold Young Award from the Poetry Council of North Carolina. Her poems and essays have appeared in numerous U.S. and international magazines, including Magma (London) and New Welsh Review.
Her plays and libretti have been produced at Catawba’s Florence Busby Corriher and Hedrick theatres, BareBones Theater’s New Play Festival, Minneapolis Fringe Festival, Polli Talu Arts Center in Estonia, and Rendez-Vous Musique Nouvelle in France.
Charlotte Writers’ Club North meets at 7 on the first Thursday of each month at So Alive Art Gallery on Main Street in Davidson. Guests are welcome. For more information, please visit our website at www.charlottewritersclub.org.
