Margaret Martin Davidson, a resident of The Pines at Davidson and longtime Davidson College Presbyterian Church member, died Saturday, Dec. 27, 2008, at Lake Norman Regional Medical Center. She was 88.
A memorial service and gathering of friends is planned today (Tuesday, Dec. 30) at 10:30 a.m. at The Pines, 400 Avinger Lane.
Born Dec. 23, 1920, in Raleigh, she was a daughter of the late Reid and Margaret Raymond Martin. She was a homemaker and attended Davidson College Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by her son, Captain Ed Davidson and wife, Bonnie of Dubai, United Arab Emirates, daughter, Katherine Lewis of Charlotte, sister, Katherine Levine of Arden, N.C., five grandchildren and three great grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward P. Davidson.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to The Pines Resident Support Group, 400 Avinger Lane, Davidson, N.C. 28036.
