Slow Food Carolina Piedmont Region, an organization that promotes local food and efforts to reclaim local food sources, will sponsor a screening of the film “The World According to Monsanto” on Saturday, Dec. 13, at 1 p.m. at Town Hall, 216 S. Main St. “The World According to Monsanto,” by French filmmaker Marie-Monique Robin, looks at how one multinational corporation is changing the nature of our food supply through genetic engineering.
