I was disappointed in the atmosphere at Christmas in Davidson this year.
It was much different than it has been in years past. Instead of an elegant celebration and showing of patronage and support for the community and downtown businesses, I found it to be very “carnival like”. I hope that the committee in charge of this event will consider returning to the simple charming celebration that it once was! Jeannine Bodner

The key to enjoying the big tent on the Green was to do what I did: head straight for the Davidson Chocolate Company table, get some truffles, leave. If someone was selling corn dogs or other ‘carnival’ food, that’s news to me. I would measure the success of Christmas in Davidson by the smiles on the kids’ faces, and as always there were plenty.

While we’re making suggestions…please promote the activities on South Main a bit more. Many people had no idea things were happening down there.
