		<description><![CDATA[The key to enjoying the big tent on the Green was to do what I did: head straight for the Davidson Chocolate Company table, get some truffles, leave.  If someone was selling corn dogs or other &#039;carnival&#039; food, that&#039;s news to me.  I would measure the success of Christmas in Davidson by the smiles on the kids&#039; faces, and as always there were plenty.

While we&#039;re making suggestions...please promote the activities on South Main a bit more.  Many people had no idea things were happening down there.]]></description>

It was much different than it has been in years past.  Instead of an elegant celebration and showing of  patronage and support for the community and downtown businesses, I found it to be very &quot;carnival like&quot;.
