Stephen Curry turned in a 39-point performance Monday night as Davidson beat Florida Atlantic University, 76-60, in an NIT Season Tip-Off tournament game at Belk Arena. It was the Wildcats’ 20th straight victory at home.
Andrew Lovedale had 13 points and 15 rebounds and Bryant Barr added 12 as the Wildcats improved to 4-1 on the year. Xavier Perkins had 24 points for Florida Atlantic.
The game was the second half of a doubleheader in the NIT Season Tip-Off. In the early game, Loyola of Maryland beat James Madison, 64-54.
Two more games are scheduled Tuesday night. At 5:45, Florida Atlantic plays James Madison, then at 8, Davidson plays Loyola.
