Help less fortunate by giving to Angel Tree

The Davidson police and fire departments will begin soliciting donations for their annual Holiday Angel Tree when the tree is unveiled today (Friday) at in the rotunda at Davidson Town Hall, 216 S. Main St.

If you’d like to give, visit the tree and pick up a gift-giving ornament, which comes with a gift request for a child or family. Organizations, homeowners associations, community groups, schools, churches and other groups are encouraged to participate by taking a block of tags, or by sponsoring an entire family. Sign out cards and instructions are located on the clipboard next to the tree.

Pick up an ornament before Dec. 6. Gifts are due back at the Davidson Police Department by Dec. 10.

Davidson police and fire departments will deliver gifts by Dec. 12. Donations for wrapping paper, and for food/refreshments while our elves get to work are gladly accepted. Children (age 13 or older) needing community service hours are also welcome to come assist during specific scheduled times.
