The Davidson Housing Coalition invites cycling enthusiasts to oil up their chains and participate in a Saturday, Oct. 4, “Ride for Hope and Housing” through the back roads of Iredell, Cabarrus, Rowan, and Mecklenburg counties.
Four routes – 100 kilometer, 50 kilometer, 25 kilometer and a 5 kilometer Family Fun Ride – will be supported with vehicles, rest stops, and food at the end of the trail. All begin and end in the parking lot of Davidson United Methodist Church on South Main Street. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. in the church parking lot, and the 100K begins at 8:30 a.m. The 50K and 25K routes departing soon thereafter.
A T-shirt and water bottle are guaranteed for preregistered riders and available to others while supplies last. Proceeds will benefit DHC’s affordable housing and home maintenance efforts.
Pre-registration is $25 for adults and $5 for Family Fun Ride participants.
