The results are in: Team Summit finished eighth overall out of 78 teams and grabbed second place in the ultra division, for six-man teams, in the 2008 Blue Ridge Relay.

Summit's team ran just under 27 hours (26:54:05) for the 208-mile race, with the six runners alternating legs. That averaged about 7:30 a mile for the distance.

The team raised $500 for the United Way, thanks to pledges by supporters.
