Davidson Community Players seeks African American and Latino actors/actresses to fill out the cast for its November production of the musical “Working.” Based on Studs Terkel’s compilation of interviews with workers across the United States, “Working” follows a day in the life of average Americans.
In the course of one 24-hour workday, the audience meets and hears the stories of a wide variety of workers.
Both singing and non-singing roles are available. Auditions will be held Tuesday, Sept. 9, at 7 p.m. at Davidson College Presbyterian Church at the corner of Main Street and Concord Road in Davidson.
Scripts will be provided for reading; a prepared monologue is also acceptable. If singing, please prepare 16 bars of a song that fits your voice well, and please bring sheet music in the proper key. An accompanist will be provided.
