JENNIFER DEAN

A former assistant principal at Bailey Middle School in Cornelius has been promoted to the school’s top administrative position. Monday night the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Board of Education approved Jennifer Dean as the new Bailey Middle principal. She will replace Angela Baucom, who oversaw the opening of the school in August 2006.

Ms. Dean is currently the assistant principal at Midwood High, a transitional school in Charlotte for ninth-graders who fail the 8th grade end-of-grade test. Ms. Dean has worked at Midwood since September 2007. Prior to that she was an assistant principal at Bailey. She will return to Bailey in her new role starting July 1.
