(Davidson College press release) Davidson College’s “Sweet 16″ basketball tournament appearance on Friday night has led organizers of the previously announced “Davidson Creates” arts festival to postpone that event until May.

“Davidson Creates” was originally scheduled for Friday and Saturday, March 28-29, but it has been rescheduled until May 2-3.

Festival organizer Darryl Ratcliff said postponement was not an easy decision, but he recognized that Friday evening activities would be completely overshadowed by the Davidson-Wisconsin game scheduled for about 7 p.m. that evening. In addition, several hundred students are planning to attend the game in Detroit in person, and would not be able to participate in the festival on Saturday either.
