Ada Jenkins Center’s ICE 2008 gala at River Run Country Club raised more than $40,000 for the community center and its programs.
The center, at 212 Gamble St., is a non-profit organization that provides a variety of services to the Lake Norman area, including an after-school program and tutoring for 60 kids, a mobile dental clinic and free medical clinic, food pantry, youth education, crisis assistance, career counseling and other programs.
The gala featured an auction, which included an ATV from Interstate Cycle, a beach week on Harbor Island, a getaway in Savannah with dinner at Paula Deen’s Lady & Sons restaurant, a private in-home dinner party prepared by Family Catering with a case of wine from Ashley Oaks Vineyard, a Fantasy Football experience with ESPN senior writer David Fleming, and more.
