Enjoy soups from area restaurants along with live entertainment and a silent auction at Souper Bowl 2008 on Saturday, Jan. 26. The annual fund-raiser for the Davidson Housing Coalition’s HAMMER’s emergency home repair program will be noon to 2 p.m. at Davidson College.

Participating restaurants competing for best soups include Solace, Maddi’s Southern Bistro, Jeffrey’s, Restaurant X, Soiree, The Prickly Pear, eeZ Fusion & Sushi, Max & Erma’s Huntersville, Tim Schafer’s at Lake Norman, and K&W Cafeteria.

Admission is $10 for adults, $8 students 12 and up, $5 children, purchased in advance before 5 p.m. Friday. Tickets are also available at the door. To purchase tickets, contact Ann Roper at ann@davidsonhousing.org or 704-892-4486.
