Davidson Community Players has added a performance and seats for “Jack & the Beanstalk,” a production of the players’ Connie Co. Children’s Theatre and the Davidson College Department of Theatre. The show opens Thursday (Jan. 24) with a 7 p.m. performance and runs through Sunday, Jan. 27 at Children’s Community School, 565 Griffith St.

Jack and the Beanstalk is a re-telling of the classic tale by Rupert T. Barber Jr. and is appropriate for children ages 4 to 9 years old and their families, according to the theater group.

The play will be performed by Davidson College students and is directed by Melissa Ohlman-Roberge, artistic director of The Connie Co.
