Fans stayed on their feet at halftime of Saturday afternoon’s Wildcats basketball game to cheer returning alums celebrating 100 years of men’s basketball at Davidson College. Athletes from decades past ringed the court, while under the basket stood a lineup of Hall of Fame inductees. Getting the loudest cheers was Coach Lefty Driesell.
The fans, all 5,361 of them, also enjoyed the Davidson win over Chattanooga, 85-58 (a Wildcat-pleasing palindrome of a score), which featured a dazzling eight 3-pointers by sophomore guard Stephen Curry. You can find full coverage of the game on the college website.
After the game, alums headed back to floor to sign autographs, including Coach Driesell (at left).
