Davidson College said Thursday its new “no-loan” financial aid program now has a formal name — “The Davidson Trust.” In a campus meeting, President Thomas W. Ross explained: “Our short-hand has been to talk about our ‘no-loan initiative.’ But it didn’t seem to capture what we were trying to accomplish, so we set about trying to find the right name.” The college also announced several new gifts to pay for the program.

At a reception following the announcement, Davidson President Tom Ross chatted with junior Cameron Barr and Media Relations Fellow Rachel Andoga. (Bill Giduz photo)
