With a reception Tuesday night, Aquesta Bank celebrated the grand opening of its Davidson office next to the planned Harris Teeter off I-77 Exit 30. The bank has been open a month and has the distinction of being the first business in the new Davidson Commons Shopping Center, at Griffith and Jetton streets.

Jim Engel is Aquesta Bank’s president and CEO. He is a Cornelius resident and former partner with consulting firm KPMG. The bank is based in Cornelius, where it is building a new headquarters on Jetton Parkway with occupancy scheduled later this month.
Aquesta’s Davidson Branch has named Mary Craven as Executive with Ed Keller as Commercial Loan Officer, Theresa Frey as Assistant Branch Manager and Linda Brodbeck as Teller. Buddy Caldwell has come on board as the bank’s chief credit officer.
