Scotty Nicholls wins Burney award

Scotty Nicholls has been chosen to receive the town’s 2007 G. Jackson Burney Community Service Award, which is given annually to a resident who exemplifies the late Mr. Burney’s commitment to community service.
Mrs. Nicholls has volunteered for a variety of local organizations and is also known for acting in local theater productions by Davidson Community Players and Tarradiddle Players. Her award was announced today. (See notice on the town website)
A ceremony recognizing Mrs. Nicholls is planned Wednesday, Nov. 21, at 9 a.m. at Town Hall.
