Work by local artists is featured in the 2008 limited edition “Images of Home” calendar, which has been published as a fund-raiser for the Davidson Housing Coalition’s HAMMERS emergency home repair program. Images were selected through a juried competition and include paintings, drawings, photography and prints. A reception honoring the artists is planned Saturday, Nov. 3, 6:30 to 9:30 p.m., at Wooden Stone, 465 S. Main St.

The 10 1/2 by 10 1/2 inch calendars are $18, with 100% of the profits going to support HAMMERS. Calendars will be available Saturday at Wooden Stone, or by contacting Davidson Housing Coalition at 704-892-4486.

In the calendar are works by Kathie Kemp, Pidge Osborn, Inge Couteller, David Kaylor, June Roberts, Lori Neill, Belinda Armstrong Susan Wimberly, David Boraks and Marlene Bombay.

Calendars are also on sale at local merchants, including The Village Store, Wooden Stone, Merrill Jennings Gallery, the Village Inn and Crouch Insurance, all in Davidson; and in Mooresville at the Four Corners Gallery and the Mooresville Artist Guild Depot.
