The Town Hall telephone system, website and e-mail are out of commission today because of server problems, and the trouble could persist into the weekend, town officials said this afternoon. Residents who need to reach town staff are asked to call the main town telephone line (704-892-7591). Voicemail is not working, so callers should try to speak to a person. “If you don’t get a live person, keep trying,” said Sara-Lynne Levine, town communications director.
The town’s tech consultant, Nucentric, is working on the problem, but it may not be able to resolve the trouble by day’s end. Nucentric will continue working this weekend, Ms. Levine said.

The email, voicemail and Internet at Town Hall has been temporarily down for approximately 24 hours. Email and the town’s webpage are now working as is voicemail.
