Jetton Street closed, again: An announcement from the Town of Davidson says Jetton Street is closed between Potts and Gamble streets for two weeks beginning today (Feb. 27). The closing is necessary while Charlotte Mecklenburg Utilities installs two sewer lines. For details, call Town Hall at 704-892-7591.
Davidson Day open house: Davidson Day School, which has been constructing a new building at Jetton and Griffith streets near Exit 30 off I-77, will hold an open house for prospective students on Thursday, March 1, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the new school. College hosts math conference: Between 250 and 300 mathematicians from around the world will be at Davidson College this weekend for the American Mathematical Society‘s 2007 southeastern regional meeting. The program includes four major addresses as well as sessions involving Davidson math faculty members Timothy Chartier, Donna Molinek, and John Swallow.
