The Charlotte Observer is running a series of articles for the holidays called “Reasons to Believe,” and this morning the spotlight was on the Menkhaus family of Davidson.

Ken and Karin and their kids live in the McConnell neighborhood. The article focuses on the kindness of their neighbors — reaching over a long distance — after their son was born with health troubles in Sweden earlier this year.
