Mecklenburg County Commission chair Jennifer Roberts will be in Davidson to meet constituents at two locations, and in particular to hear about human services needs in the area.
Ms. Roberts will be at The Egg at Davidson, in Sadler Square, 231 Griffith St., for breakfast at 8 a.m. At 9 a.m. or shortly thereafter, she’ll head over to Summit Coffee, 128 S. Main St.
You’re invited to stop by and meet Ms. Roberts at either meeting. There’s no agenda for the informal gatherings, though Ms. Roberts says she’s thinking about social services these days.
In an email announcing the meetings, she said, “We know that the new fiscal year starting July 1 will challenge health and human services across the country. I want to hear from you about your greatest concerns and ideas the community has for softening the blow of budget reductions. ”
She also said she’ll give an update on “several county initiatives.”
