Workshop to guide artists in entering juried shows

Artist Carmella Jarvi will lead a workshop for artists on “Improving Your Chances with Juried Shows” on Saturday, Jan. 17, from 10 a.m. to noon at Creative Art Exchange in Cornelius. The workshop is held in conjunction with Downtown Davidson Inc. and its Art on the Green festival, a juried show in April.

Whether you’re a visual artist specifically applying to Art on the Green or you’re new to the process, you’ll get tips and how tos. Carmella Jarvi is an award-winning painter who loves sharing marketing strategies with other artists.  See more on www.carmellajarvi.com.

Cost of the workshop is $35, payable by cash or check to Carmella Jarvi on the day of the workshop. Preregistration is required by Thursday, Jan. 15.  There’s a minimum number of 6 with a maximimum of 12, so reserve your spot today by contacting Creative Art Exchange at 704-892-7323 or director@creativeartexchange.org.
