Deaths: Addie Mae Goodrum Summerville

Addie Mae Goodrum Summerville, 98, of Davidson, died Wednesday, March 26, 2008, at her home.She was born on May 18, 1909 to the late Phillip Kelly and Ella Jane Goodrum. Addie Mae was an active member of Mulberry Presbyterian Church, where she was lead teacher in the Primary Sunday School, was on the youth council, served as president of the Women of the Church and other leadership activities.

She served as leader of Girl Scouts, Troup 3, and church coordinator of Girl Scout and Brownie Troops, receiving the Girl Scout’s Honor Badge.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Price Merritt Summerville, and son, William Kelly Summerville. She is survived by her son, Kenneth Summerville and wife Patricia of Garner, N.C., and daughter, Lovenia Summerville of Davidson; daughter-in-law, Joyce Summerville; 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Friday, March 28, 2008 at Mulberry Presbyterian Church. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn West.

The family will receive friends one hour prior, from 10-11 AM at the church.Memorials may be made to Mulberry Presbyterian Church, 5600 Tuckaseegee Rd., Charlotte, NC 28208. Raymer Funeral Home, Huntersville, NC is serving the family. www.raymerfuneralhome.org
