Wildcats fit to print in NY Times

A pass through the sports section of Sunday’s New York Times may cause a double-take for Davidson readers. There on the bottom of page seven is a photo of Stephen Curry lunging toward the basket. Along with the photo is a complimentary feature on the Davidson College men’s basketball team, “Surging Davidson is Looming as a Threat to the Major Programs.” The story doesn’t say anything Wildcat fans don’t already know, but it sure is fun to see the Big Apple taking notice. Let the countdown to March Madness begin.

It’s been a real pleasure to watch these young college kids (& they really are college kids) grow and develop as a team this year. How lucky we are to have coaches, players, administrators and fans who all seem to “get it”. To the three senior co-captains who play their last home game tonight, I say thank you for a great ride. We’ll be pulling for you in Charleston & beyond. Go Cats!
