Robber may have hit Mooresville bank
A man who held up the BB&T branch on Main Street in Davidson may have also robbed a First Citizens branch in Mooresville a short time later. The man had still not been caught as of early this afternoon.
Police are still looking for a black man, about 5-foot 9 or 10 inches tall and with dreadlocks. He was wearing camouflage clothing and wrap-around sunglasses in the Davidson robbery. Security cameras showed him entering the Davidson BB&T shortly after 2 p.m. and standing at the teller’s counter.
He reportedly fled on foot, but it now appears he got into a car and drove north to Mooresville.
At around 2:19, he held up the First Citizens Bank on Medical Park Road, near Lake Norman Regional Medical Center, the Mooresville Tribune reported. The newspaper published a security camera photo showing a man who appears to match the description of the Davidson robbery.
