Longtime Davidson resident Sarah Elizabeth Jetton died Tuesday, May 29, 2007, at age 93. She lived at the Pines at Davidson.
Her funeral will be Friday, June 1, at 2 p.m., in Lingle Chapel of Davidson College Presbyterian Church. Burial will follow in the Davidson College Presbyterian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at [...]

Davidson officials are considering a one-year moratorium on new developments in an area east of town, between N.C. 73 and East Rocky River Road. Delaying new approvals would buy the town time to develop an area plan. A public hearing on the idea is scheduled at the June 12 Town Board meeting.

The planning board tonight (Tuesday) will consider whether to recommend approval of an expansion of Davidson East, a proposed mixed-use development north of N.C. 73 and east of Ramah Church Road east of Davidson.

Pine Lake Preparatory charter school, which is planned on N.C. 115 north of Davidson, is cutting back its plans to open as a K-10 school this fall, and instead will offer grades K-2, The Charlotte Observer reports.
