Davidson town board members got their first glimpse of what the fiscal 2007-2008 town budget might look like Tuesday night when Town Manager Leamon Brice presented his preliminary budget.
The headline for property owners is that the $7 million plan would hold spending close to 2007 levels and won’t require a property tax increase.

Budget discussions at Tuesday’s Town Board work session raised a variety of long-range planning issues for Davidson, including this burning question: How will Davidson cope with being the terminus of the North Corridor commuter rail line planned by Charlotte Area Transit System?

The building that houses the Ada Jenkins Center in Davidson has been around for 70 years, originally as a school for African-American kids and now as a community center.

Davidson Town Day on Saturday, May 5, tops the list of May programs at Davidson Parks & Recreation.
