When we came out of church at St. Alban’s on Sunday, Vocelli Pizza had put advertising stickers on every driver’s side door. The only good news about this trash was that it did stick and therefore didn’t create the kind of litter you see at shopping centers.

As two non-profit arts groups settle into the new Cornelius Arts Center, the move has meant a migration of arts supporters from Davidson. He may have felt a bit leery, but Caleb Bass and his brother, Nathaniel, of Huntersville decided to go ahead and pet the corn snake coiled around the hand of Davidson College herpetologist Grant Connette. PIED PIPER? John Swallow leads kids along Concord Road toward Davidson Elementary School Wednesday.
